The origins of Coaching are to be found in sports and deal with the question, what does an athlete need to
reach his top performance and then to keep it.

With his book 'The inner game of tennis' Timothy Gallwey set a milestone in the development of coaching.
He writes that success mainly depends on the inner attitude and perception of a player. These experiences from
sports helped to develop a method that leads, applied in other areas, to the same success, more satisfaction and
finally to a higher grade of life quality.

Coaching means:

  • to clarify goals and to develop visions
  • to find individual values and use them as an energy potential
  • to use limitations, boundaries and crises in a constructive way
  • to realize and develop personal abilities
  • to develop strategies to reach ones goals

Above all, Coaching is a very individual process adapted to the client's desire and needs while respecting his
personal view and attitude. By means of very specific questions a new perspective may be developed creating
choices, leading to ones personal freedom to decide, solution-orientated and thinking towards the best possible
out-put.

Coaching makes for discovery and the use creativity and personal potential. This is about to be recognized more
and more even in the economic world and meanwhile the additional qualification as a Coach is requested as an
undeniable condition when dealing with collegues, employees and customers. In a company where the knowledge
of Coaching is applied you can find a much higher grade of satisfaction at work and measurably better results are
achieved.

The techniques, structures and methods of Coaching are only tools to inspire the client to start thinking in order to
come up with new or different perspectives that help to find results or solutions and to lead up to the desired goal.
At that point it is crucial that the client finds his solution on his own, moreover that he gets consciousness about
that point.

Helping others in a really effective way, means to put a person in a situation that allows him to help himself.
